The Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences encourages students to have the knowledge and technological skills for facilitating the symbiotic relationships between the various activities of human life or industries and natural environments. The purpose is to study the academics of various areas related to Life and Environment in an interdisciplinary and synthetic manner. The ultimate goal is to help students develop into people who play an active part on the front line in areas related to the following subjects:
- The application of biomolecules and their functions
- The development of biological functions related to genes, proteins, microbes, plants, and animals and the improvement of food production
- The improvement of food environments and human health
- The improvement of natural environments and information environments
- The improvement of human lifestyles and life environments
- The understanding of roles and functions of forests, and their conservation and sustainable utilization
